Semi truck accident causes brush fire near 15 Freeway in San Bernardino, injuring 1
A collision between two large trucks caused a vegetation fire near the northbound 15 Freeway in Devore on Saturday afternoon. The incident prompted a rapid response from multiple agencies, including air drops to control the flames. The fire started near I-15 and Kenwood Avenue after one of the trucks caught fire, spreading flames towards nearby homes. Firefighters quickly intervened to protect the area, and by 1:44 p.m., the fire was under control at around four acres with no damage to structures reported. One individual sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. Although the trucks were carrying non-hazardous materials, diesel fuel was present. The northbound truck bypass was briefly closed for firefighting efforts.
