Section of Aversboro Road closed after car crashes into tree, Garner police say
GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) — The Garner Police Department has closed a section Monday afternoon of Aversboro Road after a car crashed into a tree. According to police, officers responded to the 2400 block of Aversboro Road at 4:30 p.m. after receiving a call about a potential car crash. Police said officers found a car that had run into a tree when they arrived, with a driver who needed medical attention. The person was taken to the hospital by medical personnel. The 2400 block portion of Aversboro Road is closed between the entrance to Lake Benson park and the White Deer Park entrance, according to police. Police said they are investigating "the circumstances surrounding the incident" and said it appears no other cars were involved in the crash.
