Santa Clarita young hockey players injured in fatal Colorado accident

Multiple young hockey players and their families were hospitalized and one father passed away following a serious crash involving several vehicles in Colorado. The tragic incident occurred in Clear Creek County, Colorado, close to Denver, just after 8:50 a.m. According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash involved a Colorado Department of Transportation plow, two cars, and a van carrying members of the Santa Clarita Flyers youth hockey team and their families. Emergency services treated and transported multiple injured passengers, including juveniles, to hospitals, while one individual with critical injuries was airlifted to a trauma center. Unfortunately, the father who was driving the van did not survive the crash. The team was en route to a hockey game when the accident occurred. The Colorado State Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the collision as the hockey community mourns the loss and supports the affected families.
