Sammy Hagar, Rock Icon, Donates $10k to Boy Hurt in Huntington Beach Chopper Crash

Rock music icon Sammy Hagar has graciously given $10,000 to a 12-year-old boy who was hurt in a helicopter accident in Huntington Beach. Oliver Holland was among the victims when a Bell 222 helicopter crashed into a pedestrian bridge over the Pacific Coast Highway on October 11, 2025, leaving him with severe injuries. Thankfully, Oliver is on the road to recovery, with his sister, Madeline Ashwell, sharing that he seems almost back to his normal self. The generous donation came after Hagar learned of Oliver's story and met with the family at his Cabo Wabo restaurant in Huntington Beach. During their conversation, Oliver expressed his aspiration to become an engineer. The support and hope from Hagar and the community have deeply touched Oliver's family. In addition to his music career, Hagar, residing in Orange County, is the founder of the Hagar Family Foundation, a nonprofit that aids children and families in need all over the country.
