Safe homeowner after car crashes through Nashville home roof
Two individuals were harmed when a vehicle crashed into the roof of a house in Nashville this past weekend. The incident occurred at around 8 a.m. on Sunday. Resident Jennifer Pittman recounted to Nexstar's WKRN that her house shook when the car crashed through the roof, with its front portion extending into her bedroom. Pittman, who had just woken up and was in the living room with her dogs at the time, and thankfully, neither she nor her pets were injured. Pittman, who lives in her grandfather's former house, expressed a sense of being protected. She mentioned that her street is recognized for high-risk driving behavior and she hopes safety improvements will be made, as reckless driving is common there. Details are scarce regarding the individuals in the car during the incident. However, authorities informed WSMV that the driver sustained a broken neck and is facing legal charges, including reckless endangerment and driving under the influence. It was noted that the driver had hit an embankment at a high speed prior to the crash. The vehicle was extracted from Pittman's roof the same day.
