RTD's E Line service disrupted by fuel tanker collision

A tragic accident involving a fuel tanker on Thanksgiving Day has affected the Regional Transportation District's E Line services. The fuel tanker crashed into the Yale Avenue bridge, causing damage to the bridge's retainer wall. Unfortunately, the driver of the tanker passed away in the incident. As a result, RTD has made adjustments to the E Line services: Southbound E Line service between I-25•Broadway and Southmoor stations is now served by trains and bus shuttles, with additional E Line trains operating between these stations. Northbound E Line service between Southmoor and I-25•Broadway stations is temporarily replaced by a shuttle service, with customers transferring to the D Line at I-25•Broadway Station for downtown travel. RTD advises checking their website for service updates. Additionally, the crash caused a fuel spill on the road, leading to road closures for several hours for hazmat cleanup.
