Putmans Stars Remembered at Funeral Following Deadly Car Crash

Three members of the Meet the Putmans family — Bill, Barb, and Megan Putman — were honored at a memorial service almost three weeks after they tragically passed away. The service, which could be viewed through the "Growing Up Putman" Facebook page, took place at Caro First Baptist Church in Caro, Michigan, on Wednesday, October 15, followed by their burial at a local cemetery. Prior to the service, the family had announced its intention to stream the memorial in a statement shared on Facebook the day before, for those who wanted to join in celebrating the lives of their loved ones. Bill and Barb, both 65 years old, and their daughter-in-law Megan, 37, lost their lives in a car accident on September 26. The family also asked for prayers for other members who were injured in the crash. The Putman family emphasized their belief in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and drew strength from this faith during the difficult time. The family expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they received and requested continued prayers as they navigated the aftermath of the tragedy. Authorities charged the truck driver involved in the accident, Pavel B Shchukin, for his role in the incident. He faced charges related to the accident and was placed in custody while the family provided updates on the recovery of the injured family members.
