Portion of I-91 South closed after car goes off highway in New Haven
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A portion of Interstate 91 South is closed Tuesday morning after a car went down off the highway in New Haven, according to Connecticut State Police. The crash happened in the area of Exit 4. State police said the vehicle went off the highway and came to rest on East Street at the underpass. The highway is closed between Exits 7 and 4, state police said. The driver and passenger were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, state police said. A tow truck operator is on the way, according to state police.
