Police searching for details on deadly motorcycle incident in Athens
The Athens City Police Department is asking for help in an investigation following a tragic accident involving a motorcycle. The incident occurred at the intersection of Redfern Road and Congress Parkway, where officers responded to find one person deceased. Upon investigation, it was discovered that two separate crashes had taken place. Initially, a collision between a motorcycle and a box truck occurred, followed by a dark-colored SUV hitting the motorcycle driver and fleeing the scene.
