Police respond to accident near U.S. 41 and Jessica Drive
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) -- Police in Terre Haute responded to an accident near the intersection of U.S. 41 and Jessica Drive, around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. The accident happened near the South Menards and involved two vehicles. The Vigo County Sheriff's Office said an investigation revealed the accident happened after a silver Chevrolet SUV attempted to turn into Menard's, failed to yield, and collided with a black Hyundai SUV traveling westbound on Jessica Drive. Officials said the driver of the silver SUV said the sun was in their eyes and they did not see the other vehicle. Both drivers of the vehicles were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
