Police: Man shot, car crashes into Providence building
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A man was taken to the hospital after being shot in Providence early Sunday morning, according to police. Kristy dosReis, a spokesperson for the Providence Police Department, told 12 News officers were called to Bodell Avenue around 3:25 a.m. for reports of shots fired and a car crashing into a building. At the scene, police found a car with multiple bullet holes that struck the side of an apartment building. A short time later, officers responded to Cleveland Street, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, dosReis said. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in stable condition.
