Police: Man arrested in connection to fatal hit-and-run on I-695 in January

A Cockeysville man is facing manslaughter charges in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash on Interstate 695 back in January. According to the Maryland State Police, Zaqueo Menjivar, 32, is facing multiple charges after a Baltimore County grand jury returned an indictment charging him with negligent manslaughter, failure to remain at the scene, reckless driving, and other related charges. This arrest comes after a pedestrian-involved crash on January 11 on the outer loop of I-695 between Providence Road and Delany Valley Road. An investigation showed that a Mitsubishi Outlander was struck by a Toyota Camry while disabled in the left lane. The occupants exited their vehicles and were on the left shoulder when a short time later a Chevy Equinox swerved onto the shoulder and struck the victim, Ahmed Kahn, of Virginia. The driver of the Equinox, later identified as Menjivar, initially exited the vehicle before returning and fleeing from the scene.Menjivar was taken into custody and was taken to the Baltimore County Department of Corrections, where he is being held without bond.
