
Police investigate fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision in North Carolina
An inquiry is currently ongoing in Asheville, North Carolina following a tragic incident where a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle late on Tuesday night. Shortly after 10 p.m., officers from the Asheville Police Department were called to the intersection of Patton Avenue and North Louisiana Avenue to examine the collision. According to the initial findings, a 2000 Nissan Sentra was heading westbound in the far right lane of Patton Avenue and hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road outside of a designated crosswalk. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The victim's identity has not been disclosed yet. It was noted that the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the accident.
