Police identify motorcyclist killed in crash on SR-201 after striking retaining wall
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4) — Police have identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on SR-201 on Saturday. According to the Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred on May 23, 2026, at approximately 15:50 p.m. A motorcyclist and an SUV were travelling eastbound on SR-21 near 320 West when they collided. (Courtesy: DPS) The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike after striking the retaining wall. He was then transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The motorcyclist has now been identified by police as Jay Reupena, 60, of Magna, Utah. Kyle Indihar contributed to this reporting.
