Police car collides with tanker on County Road 101.
A recent collision occurred between a Shakopee police car and a tanker truck on County Road 101 in Shakopee. The incident took place on Monday afternoon at the intersection of County Road 101 and Canterbury Road around 4:40 p.m. According to the Minnesota State Patrol's initial findings, the Shakopee police car was travelling eastbound on County Road 101 while the tanker truck was entering the same road from Canterbury Road. The police officer driving the squad car sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, while the truck driver was uninjured. It was reported that the police car had its emergency lights activated when the collision happened. Both vehicles sustained significant damage as observed from overhead footage. The public is advised to steer clear of the area between Shenandoah Drive and Valley Park Drive on County Road 101 as investigations by the Minnesota State Patrol are ongoing.
