Photos: Power outage in Omaha due to vehicle crashing into power pole.
A car accident near 44th and F streets in south Omaha caused a power outage for hundreds of residents on Tuesday morning. Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) confirmed the incident to KETV and reported that all power is expected to be restored by 12:30 p.m. Fortunately, there were no injuries as a result of the crash. Photos shared by a KETV viewer showed OPPD crews working to clean up the area. At its peak, the outage affected nearly 400 people in the area.
