Pedestrian killed, another injured in crash at Oregon apartment complex
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A crash at a Silverton apartment complex Thursday evening left one pedestrian dead and another with life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Just before 7 p.m., officers responded to reports that a vehicle had hit pedestrians at the Silver Place Apartments. Arriving at the scene, investigators found two victims seriously hurt. They were both taken to a hospital, but officials said one of them later died from their injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
