Pedestrian identified in fatal crash after hit by pickup truck in downtown Nashville
A pedestrian killed by a pickup truck has been identified by the Metro Nashville Police Crime Laboratory. The pedestrian fatality happened June 27 on Lafayette Street at Rep. John Lewis Way after a pickup truck struck Taramon Diane Lopez, 50, as she was walking in a lane. RELATED | Man charged in connection with deadly Murfreesboro Pike crash The 27-year-old driver reportedly remained at the scene to help her, before she was taken to a hospital where she died July 2. Investigators report there were no signs of impairment.
