Parents facing charges following car accident that resulted in 7-year-old son's death
The parents of a 7-year-old boy who tragically died after being hit by a car have been charged with involuntary manslaughter. Jessica Ivey and Samuele Jenkins face charges after their son, Legend, was struck by a vehicle while walking home with his brother in Gastonia, North Carolina. The incident occurred as the two boys were crossing a busy street and Legend was hit outside of the crosswalk. Following the accident, the parents were arrested and are currently being held without bond, with their next court appearance scheduled for June 20.
