One killed, two injured in Xenia crash; Victims identified

In Caesercreek Twp., Greene County, a fatal two-vehicle collision occurred at the junction of Paintersville-New Jasper and Hussey roads on Saturday morning. Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 8:20 a.m., with Xenia Police Dispatch urging drivers to steer clear of the area. By 11 a.m., the Xenia Twp. Fire Department confirmed a fatality from the incident, reporting three people injured with one person succumbing to their injuries upon arrival at the scene. The remaining two individuals were transported to nearby medical facilities. The intersection remains closed as the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigates the crash. On Saturday afternoon, the State Patrol identified the deceased passenger as Leroy Arrington, aged 60, from Wilmington. Initial investigations revealed a failure to stop at the sign resulted in a collision involving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and a 2023 International MV607. The Silverado driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, while the MV607 driver was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Jamestown, both with non-life-threatening injuries.
