OHP: 2 people dead after plane crashes in McClain County
Authorities say two people were killed in a plane crash Monday morning in McClain County. Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials told KOCO 5 that the plane crashed in the 500 block of East Cottonwood Road, which is east of South Main Avenue just south of Goldsby. >> Download the KOCO 5 App | Subscribe to KOCO 5’s YouTube channel | Sign up for KOCO 5’s Morning NewsletterSky 5 flew over the scene, showing that a small plane had crashed into trees not far from a private runway, roughly 100 yards from a grass air strip. Sky 5 Pilot Chase Rutledge also said it appeared the plane caught fire after the crash. Information about the victims or the plane involved in the crash has not been released.
