Officials investigating helicopter crash near Jim Thorpe that left 2 dead.
Officials are currently investigating a tragic helicopter crash that took place in Carbon County on Thursday. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. near Jim Thorpe, close to power lines. Emergency medical services responded to the accident where it was reported that the Hughes 369D helicopter had two individuals on board who, unfortunately, both lost their lives in the crash. The victims' identities have not been disclosed. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will be conducting a thorough investigation into the accident.
