North Texas man arrested for accidental shooting death of pregnant girlfriend, authorities report
A man from Blue Ridge was arrested by the Collin County Sheriff's Office after he unintentionally shot and killed his pregnant girlfriend at a residence on North SH 78. The incident occurred on March 17 around 9 a.m. The man reported the shooting as an accident in a 911 call. Deputies found the victim, Hannah Blanchard, inside a trailer with a gunshot wound to her upper chest. She tragically passed away at the scene. The suspect, Carl Chrisenberry, was taken into custody at the scene, and a firearm was found outside the trailer. Chrisenberry faces charges of capital murder and possession of a controlled substance, with bail set at $1.5 million. The town of Blue Ridge is situated approximately 50 miles north of Dallas.
