Ninety-year-old man killed in Gravette vehicle accident
GRAVETTE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A man was killed in a fatal crash last week after a Mack truck ran a stop sign in Gravette, according to a fatal crash summary from Arkansas State Police (ASP). Loren Fred Cox, 90, was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 east on Arkansas State Highway 72 when a 2022 Mack truck traveling south on Big Springs Road ran a stop sign, according to ASP. The crash occurred Wednesday, July 22. Cox, a Gravette resident, was injured in the crash, ultimately succumbing to his injuries two days later on July 24, according to the crash summary. The crash took place around 8:43 a.m. Weather conditions were clear, and the road was dry, according to the crash summary. ASP has not released additional details about the vehicle accident.
