Newtown PD identifies motorcyclist killed in crash as 18-year-old Danbury man
NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- The Newtown Police Department has released the identity of a motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on Hawleyville Road on Monday evening. Police said witnesses called 911 to report a crash involving a FedEx box truck and a Kawasaki motorcycle on Hawleyville Road near North Ridge Drive at around 5:49 p.m. on Monday. The motorcyclist, identified as 18-year-old Christopher Guallpa-Lema of Danbury, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers spoke to multiple witnesses, as well as the driver of the FedEx truck. The crash is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Det. Harold at 203-426-5841.
