Nashville man dead after rollover crash on I-40E

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A man died at the hospital following a crash on Interstate 40 East, at the entrance ramp to Interstate 440 East, Saturday morning, according to Nashville officials. The single-vehicle crash was reported at approximately 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 14. The Metro Nashville Police Department said the preliminary investigation indicates 39-year-old Jayson Braddy was driving his 2002 Toyota Tundra pickup east on I-40 at a high rate of speed when he entered the entrance ramp to I-440 East and "failed to negotiate the curve." The truck reportedly ran off the left side of the road and rolled over. Authorities said the Nashville man -- who was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash -- was brought to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died. According to law enforcement, toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether impairment played a role in this deadly crash. No additional details have been released about this incident.
