Multiple injuries in Stockton after car exits Highway 4, collides on urban road

An accident involving two cars in Stockton has left several individuals injured after one of the vehicles veered off the highway and onto a city street, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. when a Tesla and another vehicle collided on the eastbound lanes of Highway 4. Subsequently, the unidentified vehicle left the highway and landed on East Washington Street, with three occupants inside. Firefighters were required to remove two individuals from the vehicle that stopped on the street. All three occupants were transported to the hospital with varying degrees of injuries. The driver of the Tesla, who remained at the scene, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.
