Multiple injured in Silver Spring multi-car collision
A number of individuals were taken to the hospital after a multiple-car accident occurred on Friday morning in Montgomery County. The crash, which involved three vehicles, happened at around 5 a.m. close to the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Locust Grove Road in Silver Spring. According to Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, at least two individuals were sent to the hospital. Emergency responders had to free one person who was trapped inside a vehicle. Georgia Avenue was closed in both directions near the Capital Beltway as emergency services dealt with the incident.
