Multi-vehicle crash briefly blocks westbound Highway 50 in Folsom
A crash involving multiple vehicles briefly blocked a major roadway Tuesday afternoon in Folsom, the California Highway Patrol said.CHP was dispatched around 12:40 p.m. to westbound Highway 50 just west of East Bidwell Street. A different crash happened around the same time nearby in the eastbound lanes. It was unclear what caused the crash. A dump truck rear-ended two other vehicles, CHP said. Two people with minor injuries were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.Several lanes were blocked, but the roadway was fully reopened by 1:30 p.m., CHP said.
