The wreck happened in the southbound lanes in East Hanover Township near the Interstate 78 interchange at Exit 89 around 9:45 a.m. on Thursday. The crash blocked lanes of Interstate 81 southbound, causing an extensive backlog. The northbound lanes also experienced slowdowns due to rubbernecking.
