
MPD: Gun pulled after I-40 accident
The Memphis Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly brandished a firearm at another driver after a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 40 in northeast Memphis. The incident occurred on Friday, May 29, close to the Sycamore View exit around 11:30 a.m. The victim reported being in a collision with a man driving a black Nissan Murano with temporary Tennessee license plate QK8GRL9. Per the victim, the man claimed he couldn't remain at the scene due to lacking a driver's license or insurance. The victim proceeded to follow the man, who then displayed a gun, causing the victim to retreat and contact law enforcement. No arrests have been made at this time.
