Motorcyclist killed in crash in Jenison
GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A motorcyclist died following a crash with an SUV in Jenison Friday morning. It happened around 8:50 a.m Friday on Cottonwood Drive at Summerset Drive. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says the motorcyclist was turning left from Summerset onto Cottonwood when he pulled into the path of a Chevrolet Equinox. The motorcyclist was killed. Authorities say he was wearing a helmet. His name was not released later Friday, with deputies describing him only as a 32-year-old Jenison man. The driver of the Equinox, a 21-year-old Grand Rapids man, and his passenger, a 21-year-old Grand Rapids woman, sustained minor injuries. Another passenger in the Equinox, a 23-year-old Grand Rapids man, was uninjured. Cottonwood Drive remained shut down until about 12:45 p.m. while authorities investigated the crash and cleaned up.
