Motorcyclist dies in Shannon County ambulance crash
SHANNON COUNTY, Mo. — A motorcyclist has died after striking an ambulance in Shannon County on Sunday, March 15. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, an 18-year-old Winona man died around 8:38 a.m. on Highway 19, six miles south of Winona, on Sunday. The report says the Winona man was driving a 2005 Yamaha V-Star 1100 north when the vehicle struck a 32-year-old West Plains man driving a 2023 Ford Ambulance as it was making a left turn. The Winona man was pronounced dead on the scene around 9:10 a.m. by Shannon County Coroner Allen Ford. MSHP does not report any injuries for the West Plains man. This is the fifth fatality for Troop G in 2026.
