Missouri high school bus in accident, carrying many students

A tour bus carrying approximately 50 high school students from three local schools was involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Wednesday morning on Highway A near Phillipsburg, in Laclede County, Missouri. According to a spokesperson for the Missouri Highway Patrol Troop I, 10 students were taken for medical treatment, with injuries reported as minor. The remaining students were transported to Conway High School for safety and to be reunited with their families. The accident occurred when the bus slid off the road due to heavy rain and overturned. Corporal Ralicia Tyler of the patrol confirmed the details. The students, who were from Bolivar, Fair Play, and Dadeville schools, were en route to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. Bolivar Schools and Fair Play School District are arranging for the students' return home from Conway. Ozarks First will provide updates on this incident as more details emerge.
