Milwaukee driver faces charges in deadly crash exceeding speed limit.

A man from Milwaukee was charged with homicide for allegedly causing a fatal crash by running a stop sign at a speed nearly twice the limit. Quinten Jerry Austin, 48, faces charges of second-degree reckless homicide and injury in relation to the incident on December 16 at the intersection of North 51st Street and West Custer Avenue. Pashoua Lor, 63, passed away an hour after the crash, and the driver of the vehicle she was in suffered a fractured vertebra. The scene depicted serious damage to a Toyota Camry and a Dodge Charger, both equipped with activated airbags. Austin, found at the scene, was receiving medical care from the fire department. Surveillance footage obtained from a nearby residence captured the collision, revealing the Charger speeding through a stop sign before colliding with the Camry. Data retrieved from Austin's vehicle showed speeds of up to 89 mph, significantly surpassing the 30 mph limit on the street. Austin's statement conflicted with the evidence, as he claimed to have slowed down while approaching the intersection. An autopsy conducted on Lor reported the cause of death to be multiple blunt force injuries. Austin faces serious charges and severe penalties for the incident.
