Metra UP-N trains stopped near Wilmette due to crash involving semi-truck
WILMETTE, Ill. (WGN) - Metra UP-N inbound and outbound trains are stopped near Wilmette due to a train hitting a semi-truck. Metra officials said UP-N train 337 hit a vehicle and extensive delays are anticipated. The Wilmette fire chief said two passengers on the train were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. SkyCam 9 flew over the scene and saw what appeared to be a semi-truck off to the side of the track and the train stopped on the track. Commuters are advised to find alternate transportation at this time. No other information was released. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
