Manhunt for suspect in deadly hit-and-run
Police in Omaha are looking into a deadly hit-and-run incident where a pedestrian was struck and killed. The tragic event took place around 1 a.m. on Sunday near 26th Avenue and Douglas Street. Authorities arrived to find a 29-year-old man with severe injuries who was later pronounced dead at the Nebraska Medical Center. Witnesses reported that the man was walking in the middle of the street and had narrowly avoided collisions with two cars before being struck by a truck that fled the scene heading east. The truck was located by investigators, but the driver remains unidentified.
