Man standing outside car dies in east side crash
INDIANAPOLIS – A man died after being hit by a car Monday morning on the east side. This happened just before 6 a.m. in the 3700 block of North Shadeland Avenue. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, East District officers were dispatched to a report of a personal injury crash that also involved a secondary crash. IMPD said a man was standing outside of his vehicle when he was critically injured. He was initially taken to an area hospital and later died from his injuries. Two drivers remained at the scene and were cooperating with investigators, police said. The IMPD Fatal Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene.
