Man killed on I-195 in Seekonk
SEEKONK, Mass. (WPRI) — A 53-year-old man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle on I-195 West near Exit 1 in Seekonk on Friday. In a press release, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn's office noted that the man "had entered the highway" before he was hit. The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and cooperated with police. There were lane closures in place for several hours as a result of the incident, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation urged drivers to temporarily avoid the area if possible.
