Man killed in off-road vehicle crash in Allamakee County
A man died Friday evening after an off-road vehicle crash in rural Allamakee County. According to the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called around 5:45 p.m. to Scott Hollow Road for a reported single-vehicle crash involving a Can-Am off-road vehicle. Investigators say the vehicle was traveling southbound when the driver lost control. The off-road vehicle rolled onto the driver’s side, trapping the man underneath. Officials say the driver was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s name has not been released as authorities work to notify family members. The crash remains under investigation.
