Man from Las Vegas identified in deadly crash on 215 highway in northern valley
A man from Las Vegas tragically lost his life in a car accident on July 10 in the northeast valley area. The individual, identified as Jose Nacario Belardo, was fatally injured in a collision on the 215 freeway near North Pecos Road. According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash involved a Chrysler sedan traveling at high speed that rear-ended an Infiniti QX80 SUV. The impact caused both vehicles to veer off the road and into a desert area. The Chrysler came to a stop facing west, while the Infiniti overturned, ejecting the driver, and ended up facing north. So far in 2025, the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has investigated 37 fatal crashes leading to 38 deaths.
