Man from Huntington Beach struggles for survival following e-bike crash

A man from Huntington Beach is in critical condition after sustaining severe injuries in an e-bike accident on Saturday night. Identified as 20-year-old Kolby Aipa, his family and local authorities have confirmed the incident. A statement from his mother, Val Aipa, shared on social media, revealed that Kolby is currently fighting for his life. The e-bike accident occurred on Pacific Coast Highway when Aipa lost control of the bike while being towed by a car he was associated with. He was struck by the same vehicle, leading to the critical injury. Aipa was quickly transported to UCI Medical Center for treatment. So far, no arrests have been made, and the police investigation is ongoing. Support for the Aipa family has poured in, with a GoFundMe campaign set up by the Pai family, who owns Huntington Surf and Sport. The fundraiser has already raised nearly $40,000. Aipa's family runs Aipa Surf, a local surf brand established by his grandfather, Ben, in 1970.
