Man faces four felony charges in deadly October pursuit

Indianapolis authorities have officially pressed charges against a man in connection with a deadly crash that occurred in October during a high-speed police chase on the city's southwest side. Edward Baxter faces charges such as resisting law enforcement, causing death while intoxicated, and reckless homicide using a vehicle. The crash happened after Baxter attempted to flee from police, reaching speeds of up to 99 mph, and ultimately colliding with a semi-truck after running a red light. The collision resulted in the tragic death of his passenger, Alicia Lane. Baxter, who was found to have THC, amphetamine, and methamphetamine in his system, has since recovered from his injuries and was recently arrested and taken to Marion County jail.
