Man charged for running red light at 70 mph in fatal Milwaukee crash

A Milwaukee man named Tremayne Andre Brown Jr., aged 20, is facing criminal charges in connection with a deadly crash that occurred in Milwaukee on June 7. The charges against him include second-degree reckless homicide and operating a motor vehicle while suspended, resulting in death. The incident took place at 6th and State, where two vehicles, a red Volkswagen Passat and a blue Toyota Yaris, collided. Sadly, the driver of the Toyota Yaris was pronounced dead at the scene. Brown, the driver of the Volkswagen, exhibited strange behavior and claimed not to remember his destination or the day. He admitted to having consumed alcohol earlier that morning. Video footage revealed that the Volkswagen was travelling at around 70 miles per hour when it disregarded a red traffic signal and collided with the Toyota. The records show that Brown was driving with a suspended license at the time of the crash, with previous citations for the same offense. Brown appeared in court on June 11, with a cash bond set at $50,000, and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 18.
