Man arrested in connection with late night crash on I-84
A 29 year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to a late-night crash on Interstate I-84 in Boise that left one woman dead. Kevin Michael Mccannon was charged with driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter. Mccannon was booked at 1:01 a.m. Monday morning. Idaho State Police says a white 2018 Acura TLX, driven by Mccannon was traveling westbound when it rear-ended a beige 2015 Toyota Highlander. The Toyota was driven by a 31-year-old man from Chandler, Arizona, and had four adult passengers. The Toyota left the roadway and collided with concrete landscaping structures, according to ISP. The SUV then overturned and landed back in the lanes of travel. All occupants of the Toyota were taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital. A 49-year-old female passenger from Chandler died at the hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
