Man accused in deadly hit-and-run crash pleads not guilty

The man accused in a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a Tesla in Omaha last December entered a not guilty plea on Monday.Jakylon Larry, 27, was charged with failure to stop and render aid in the crash, which killed 25-year-old Matthew Siles.The crash occurred near 43rd and Cuming streets in December.Previous coverage: Omaha police arrest man for fatal hit-and-run crash involving TeslaInvestigators said a Tesla was eastbound on Cuming Street when a pedestrian, identified as Siles, crossed Cuming Street northbound near 43rd Street. The Tesla hit Siles in the center lane and fled the scene eastbound.Siles was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he was declared dead.His next hearing is scheduled for June 18.
