Major accident closes I-80 in New Jersey
Law enforcement authorities are currently examining a major collision on I-80 near Totowa that caused the closure of multiple lanes and an entrance ramp early Monday morning. The incident occurred close to exits 53 and 54 around 2:30 a.m. Two lanes heading west were temporarily shut down for investigation, but were reopened by 7:30 a.m. Witness footage displayed emergency vehicles obstructing lanes and numerous vehicles displaying damage like shattered windows, crushed doors, and activated airbags. The cause of the accident and any potential injuries are yet to be disclosed by officials.
