Maine man killed, child critically injured in Casco motorcycle crash
A Maine man is dead and a child was left severely injured after the motorcycle they were riding on crashed into a car along Route 302 in Casco.The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday on Roosevelt Trail (Route 302) near Watkins Flowers. Members of the Casco and Naples fire departments also responded to the crash scene.Investigators said a 2003 Honda motorcycle crossed the center line and struck a 2011 Lexus sedan.Kyle Lunn, 34, of Casco, was identified as the operator of the motorcycle and officials said he was killed in the crash. A juvenile who was a passenger on the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland, according to authorities.The Sheriff's Office said the driver of the car, a 26-year-old Naples man, was transported to Bridgton Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.The crash is being investigated by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division and Windham Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.
