Authorities have provided additional details regarding the tragic jet ski incident that resulted in the death of 18-year-old Ava Moore over Memorial Day weekend at Grapevine Lake. Two women on a jet ski crashed into a kayaker near Oak Grove Park, causing severe head trauma to Moore. While one of the women stayed at the scene and cooperated with responders, the driver left with a man who was later arrested. The driver has been identified as 21-year-old Daikerlyn Alejandra Gonzalez-Gonzalez, with the man, 21-year-old Maikel Coello Perozo, also detained. The investigation is ongoing, with Texas Game Wardens and Grapevine police handling the water and vehicle aspects of the case, respectively. The suspects were apprehended following a series of events, and their immigration status is being addressed by ICE.
