NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A Jefferson Parish Fire Department lieutenant was killed in a boating crash on the night of Friday, May 22, Jefferson Parish officials announced Saturday. Officials identified the victim as 24-year veteran Lt. Dennis Casey, Jr. According to Jefferson Parish officials, the incident occurred near the Chef Pass Bridge.
